DPCC Awards Program - Performance Rules

Working Doberman of the Year - determined by the committee using the following information - highest obedience scores, versatility, i.e., more than one title earned in the award year, outstanding accomplishment (placing in top 20 obedience in Canada in breed or all-breed statistics)

Obedience Dog of the Year
For the highest average qualifying score earned in any three CKC-licensed trials while competing in Open and/or Utility during the awards year. The dog must compete in a minimum of three trials

UD Dog of the Year
For the dog/handler team that achieved the title with the highest average score. Average score is calculated from the scores of the three legs that earned the title. All three legs must be earned in the award year.

CDX Dog of the Year
For the dog/handler team that achieved the title with the highest average score. Average score is calculated from the scores of the three legs that earned the title. All three legs must be earned in the award year.

CD Dog of the Year
For the dog/handler team that achieved the title with the highest average score. Average score is calculated from the scores of the three legs that earned the title All three legs must be earned in the award year.

OTCHX - for all Dobermans who have attained this title during the award year

MOTCH - for all Dobermans who have attained this title during the award year

Tracking - Dobermans titled in Tracking for the year.

Schutzhund - Dobermans titled in any level of Schutzhund (BH, SchHA, SchH 1/2/3, FH) or IPO competition. Special award for scores over 280 with Pronounced rating.

Agility - Dobermans titled in Agility for the year (CKC Agility trials)

Flyball - Dobermans titled in Flyball under the North American Flyball Association (NAFA)

Service Dog Recognition - for all Dobermans accredited in therapy, seeing eye, hearing ear, search & rescue, assistance dog (accreditation must be through provincial or nationally recognized agencies)

Performance Sire of the Year
For the dog siring the greatest number of Dobermans awarded any performance titles during the awards year. One point for each title, must have a minimum of 3 points to be eligible.

Performance Dam of the Year
For the bitch producing the greatest number of Dobermans awarded any performance titles during the awards year. One point for each title, must have a minimum of 3 points to be eligible.

Performance Breeder of the Year
For the breeder of the greatest number of Dobermans awarded performance titles in the awards year. One point for each title, must have a minimum of 3 point to be eligible.
